Candidate Evaluation
Evaluate those state and national candidates who, if elected or re-elected to public office, will represent all or a portion of their county. Following their evaluations the Committees will decide which candidates, for a specific public office, to recommend for an AgriPac endorsement. Communication Committee
The Communication Committee has the responsibility to provide information about agriculture and Farm Bureau to members and the general public. This can be done through county newsletters and working with local media to ensure agriculture and Farm Bureau are represented fairly and accurately. Community Action Groups
This group of friends and neighbors meets monthly to discuss key issues affecting agriculture. Whether the issue is zoning, community planning, school finance, or even a neighborhood beautification project, a Community Action Group is the perfect tool to find solutions, gain knowledge, share ideas, and take action.

Membership Committee
The Membership Committee has the responsibility to plan and conduct the annual county membership campaign. For more information contact the County Office at 734-944-1469
Policy Development
The Policy Development Committee has the responsibility to develop Farm Bureau policy recommendations on local, state and national issues by encouraging the study and discussion of issues by Community Action Groups and all Farm Bureau members at the county annual meeting. A 3-day activity educating 3rd graders regarding rural education

Promotion & Education
The goal of the Promotion and Education program is to educate Michigan consumers about agriculture through working with children and schools and coordinating public outreach programs to promote and educate about agriculture. In addition, the Promotion and Education program strives to educate farmers on issues impacting agriculture.

Young Farmer
The Young Farmer program is designed to develop leadership potential for men and women between the ages of 18 and 35.

Young People's Citizenship Seminar
Over two hundred twenty of the top students from Michigan convene each year in late June to learn about world economic and political systems and conduct their own mock election. Sponsored by county Farm Bureaus across the state, the Citizenship Seminar has been conducted for over 35 years and has provided leadership skills for over 5,000 of Michigan's youth.
Seminar was held June 28-July 1, 2010 at Northwood University in Midland, MI. Participants should be juniors or seniors in the 2010-2011 school year. If someone, or someone you know is interested in attending the YPCS please contact the county office 734-944-1469
