Now that a pricing agreement has been reached between asparagus processors and MACMA members, things should be a bit more stable in the market this year. Growers will get a minimum of 59 cents with terms and 57 cents cash for the 2006 crop.

Young farmers want children following in their footsteps
For only the second time in 14 years, more than 95 percent of surveyed young farmers and ranchers said they hope their children follow in their footsteps. The survey was completed by members of Farm Bureau's Young Farmers and Ranchers attending the group's annual conference in early March.
